U15 Girls record a good win over The Borders Girls

On Sunday the U15 girls hosted a ‘Borders Girls’ team in the quarter final of the National Shield competition.

On another pleasant morning the Biggar Girls ran out 44-19 winners in what was an enthralling contest.

This was perfect timing to reward the hard effort the girls have put into their training.

Good teamwork- fast hands - good decision making - good tackling - good defence.

Lana Bell was Girl of the Game for us and our Capt Emma Orr was picked by Borders. This was a tough call because lots of the girls were worthy of the title.

The reward is a trip to Inverness to play Highland on 22nd April. Emma Orr, Mariana Finlayson and Emily Wood-Kidd each scored once, Lana Bell scored twice and Alexandra Phillips scored three times. Emma and Louisa Steele each converted a try.
