broadcasting of games on radio. He freelances for a number of broadcasters.

Biggar and the surrounding towns and villages offer the traveler / tourist much to see and do.  Apart from visiting the Rugby Club, there are many attractions in the district for the visitor.  A good place to start is  the Undiscovered Scotland site. Here you will find information on Biggar and all the surrounding villages and towns.

Tinto Hill, a famous walk, just to the south west of Biggar and some 700 metres high, has at it’s summit, a bronze age burial cairn and Druid Circle.

 

The Biggar Museum Trust holds information on a number of museums in and around Biggar.

 

Biggar is famous for it’s Hogmanay Bonfire, which lights up the town on New Year’s Eve.  Many come to this well known annual festive event every year.

 

Biggar Youth Project provides activities/facilities for young people aged 11 to 18 years who live in the catchment area of Biggar High School, a rural area in excess of 300 square miles.
